"None of the plaintiffs can plausibly allege specific jurisdiction over defendants in California." The FTC declined to comment Wednesday.

Voice service providers and the industry traceback group registered consortium must submit information for the FCC's annual report on the state of private-led traceback efforts of suspected unlawful robocalls by Nov. 15, said an Enforcement Bureau public notice in Tuesday’s Daily Digest. The reporting period is from July 27-Oct. 31. The bureau wants information about private-led traceback efforts, actions taken to coordinate with the commission, a list of voice service providers participating or who received a request to participate in such efforts, the reason a provider identified by the registered consortium didn't participate, and how the commission may use the information provided in enforcement efforts.
CarrierX asked the FCC Wireline Bureau staff to evaluate the "public interest harms" of Inteliquent and Sinch's transfer of control request, said an ex parte letter posted Monday in docket 21-131. CarrierX said the proposed transaction poses “continuing and potentially escalating harm to competition,” citing Inteliquent’s recent waiver requests of access stimulation rules (see 2103230060). Inteliquent’s actions “demonstrate that the company today and in combination with Sinch will compound the public interest harms associated with its access stimulation activities,” CarrierX said. An attorney for Inteliquent didn’t comment.
