Tellabs CEO Rob Pullen, 50, died Monday of colon cancer. He started his career in 1985 at the company as an engineer, became CEO in 2008 and is credited for helping transform Tellabs into a company active in optical routing, mobile backhaul and other newer products. Pullen at the time of his death was on the board of the Telecommunications Industry Association, where he was chairman in 2007 and 2008.
