Recent CBP NY Rulings
The following are short summaries of recent CBP NY rulings issued by the agency's National Commodity Specialist Division in New York:
N332606: The tariff classification of smoothie cubes from Thailand

N332816: The tariff classification and the country of origin of a 1953 Airstream Cruiser

Item: A re-imported Airstream Cruiser travel trailer from Mexico. The travel trailer was manufactured in the U.S. in 1953. It was then exported to Mexico in 1964. The travel trailer has an aluminum body and a steel tube chassis. It measures 25 feet in length and weighs 3,420 pounds. The travel trailer contains a range, cabinetry, electrical wiring, water pump, and water storage tanks. he travel trailer will be attached to a motor vehicle capable of towing via a cup and ball hitch. |
Reason: No substantial transformation took place in Mexico. The trailer is still a trailer. |

N332940: The tariff classification of an artificial pumpkin from China

Item: A 3-piece pumpkin assortment featuring three pumpkins in different sizes made from molded polyresin. Each pumpkin features LED lights that are soldered on to the battery pack, which is affixed to the bottom with glue. The sides of the pumpkins are carved with leaf-shaped openings. We note as light is visible through these openings that the pumpkins utilize this light to enhance their visual appeal. They remain ornamental even when the lights are not in use, and any lighting of the surrounding area, if any, is merely incidental to their use as decorations. They will come in two colors, either white or orange-brown. Lastly, you indicate the stems are molded separately and attached to the body with glue. |
Reason: As the pumpkins within this assortment meet the requirements set forth by this heading, specifically they resemble the natural product, are assembled from various parts by gluing, and are not subject to any of the listed exclusions, they would be classified under heading 6702 via General Rule of Interpretation 1 |

The garment wraps around the neck; covers the shoulders and elbows; and extends beyond the waist. |

It is stated that the valve itself is either (1) a brass or (2) a stainless-steel valve, while the head portion of the assembly consists of various metal materials. The rod and pipe that connect the handle at the top of the hydrant to the valve are corrosive resistant and consist of steel material. The pressure rating of the valve is 861.85 kPa. |
