Vizio Lands Over $200M in Direct Ad Upfront Commitments
Vizio ended its upfront season with over $200 million in direct advertising commitments from agency holding companies, brands and studios, a 100% year-over-year increase, the company said Thursday. It attributed growth for Vizio Ads to audience migration from linear to streaming and better targeting and measurement. It also cited more programming on its ad-supported WatchFree+ channel, plus buyer demand for “data-informed advertising” and home screen engagement offerings. Vizio’s ad business grew 71% year on year in Q2, and it added 243 net new advertisers, it said.
