DOD Adds to List of Companies With Ties to Chinese Military

The Defense Department on Oct. 5 released another list of Chinese companies with ties to the country’s military. The latest tranche includes 13 companies, including businesses operating in the country's technology sectors. The list includes at least two companies that are also on the Commerce Department's Entity List: Shenzhen DJI Innovation Technology Co. (DJI) and CloudWalk Technology Co.

The other 11 companies are:

BGI Genomics Co., Ltd. (BGI)
China International Engineering Consulting Corp. (CIECC)
China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. (ChemChina)
China National Chemical Engineering Group Corp. (CNCEC)
China State Construction Group Co.
CRRC Corporation Ltd. (CRRC)
Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd (Sugon)
Global Tone Communication Technology Co. Ltd (GTCOM)
Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. (Dahua)
360 Security Technology Inc. (Qihoo 360).
