Roku Gets a Jump on Prime Day With E-Commerce Deals Up to 40% Off

Roku aped Amazon marketing in a Friday email to customers with the tagline, “It’s a prime time to save.” The streaming platform company is dealing its streaming players, sound bars, TVs and voice remotes at up to 40% off on its e-commerce site with “no membership fees” and “no alarms to set” through July 16. Among the deals, the Roku Express is $12 off to $17.99, the Streambar and Streambar Pro are $40 and $30 off to $89 and $149, and the Ultra is discounted $20 to $79. Prices don't include shipping and handling. It referred TV shoppers to other e-tailers, including Amazon, which showed the TCL 40-inch HD Roku TV at 43% off Friday to $199. Roku is offering a 30-day free trial to Amazon Prime Video and encourages customers to “cancel before free trial ends to avoid subscription fees.”
