Vizio, SoundHound Extend Pact Integrating Voice AI in Remotes

Vizio and SoundHound extended their partnership integrating SoundHound’s voice AI in Vizio remote controls, the companies said Tuesday. The first voice-enabled Vizio remotes launched last spring, with daily voice queries doubling every quarter, they said. Voice allows users to quickly find the content they want “with the complex search technology happening in the background,” said David Rudnick, Vizio senior vice president-product engineering. SoundHound Products Vice President James Hom said as voice AI becomes a more commonly used interface for consumers, “there is a big opportunity to extend voice AI into interactive and commerce opportunities.”
