HDR10+ Support Added to Ateme’s Transcoders for Live Sports

Ateme is adding HDR10+ metadata support to its Titan Live line of live Ultra HD transcoders, said the video delivery company Tuesday. “This marks a world first,” said Ateme, because the ability to generate HDR10+ metadata was previously available only for non-real-time content such as VOD or Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. Ateme will offer the new capability for free to all Titan Live customers by year-end, it said. Introducing HDR10+ to more “use cases” such as live sports streaming and ATSC 3.0 broadcasts will be “transformative,” said Thomas Burnichon, Ateme vice president-innovation strategy.
