Trade-Related Court Cases Filed March 8-14

The following lawsuits were filed at the Court of International Trade during the week of March 8-14:

EN Corporation, challenging CBP's denial of its protest claiming that its steel nipples qualify for Generalized System of Preferences benefits, having undergone a substantial transformation in the Philippines. #21-00098. Filed March 8.

Super Bright LEDs, Inc., challenging CBP's denial of its protest over the tariff rates of its LED lighting imports and their applicability under Section 301 tariffs. #21-00099. Filed March 11.

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of March 8-14:

Universal Steel Products, Inc., PSK Steel Corporation, Dayton Parts, LLC, Borusan Mannesmann Pipe U.S. Inc., and Jordan International Company, appealing Feb. 4 and Feb. 26 CIT decisions that denied a broad challenge to Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs. #21-1726. Opened March 10.
