USTR Updates EU Tariffs List to Add New Chapter 99 Numbers, Correct Mistakes
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is updating its notice on the coming tariffs on imports from Europe (see 1910020044) to add some new Chapter 99 numbers and remove a mistakenly listed subheading, the agency said in a notice. The agency deleted subheading 0406.90.14, which includes Gouda and Edam cheeses, it said. USTR also added 1602.49.20, which covers some pork products, to replace a misnumbered subheading, it said.
The new subheadings are meant to "identify the portion of the subheadings not covered," the USTR said. The new 9903.89.07 will cover "Airplanes and other aircraft, of an unladen weight exceeding 15,000 kg (provided for in subheading 8802.40.00), the foregoing not described in subheading 9903.89.05" from France, Germany Spain or the United Kingdom. The new 9903.89.50 will cover "Irish and Scotch Whiskies (provided for in subheading 2208.30.30), the foregoing not described in subheading 9903.89.49" from the U.K., the USTR said.
