TCL Selling 75-Inch 4K TV at Costco for $999 Through March 3

TCL brought the price of a 75-inch 4K LED TV below $1,000 in what it called a limited-time, member-only deal at Costco. The 75-inch TCL 4-Series 75S423 Roku TV, a Costco exclusive, is shown on the TCL website at $1,149, but priced $999 at the warehouse club’s e-commerce site and stores through March 3, while supplies last and with free shipping. The 75-incher is an extension of TCL’s 2018 line but launched last month at CES (see 1901070058). The price will return to $1,149 after the promotion ends, a TCL spokesperson told us Friday, saying there's no successor to that model at this time. The company didn’t disclose how many sets it allocated for the Costco promotion. At CES, Aaron Dew, TCL North America director-product development, focused on price as the differentiator in TCL’s new product announcements. He said 99 percent of TV sales in the U.S. market last year were priced under $2,000, and nearly every high-performance TV shown at CES would be “outside the budget of 99 percent of TV shoppers.” Meanwhile, Best Buy was selling TCL’s flagship 75-inch Series 6 QLED Roku TV Friday for $1,799, or $75 monthly with a 24-month financing plan.
