The following lawsuits were filed at the Court of International Trade during the week of Jan. 9-15:

U.S. government, seeking a $343,220.40 penalty for negligence and $64,901.22 in unpaid duties and fees from Valia Sportswear for allegedly misdeclaring entries of apparel as eligible for NAFTA tariff treatment. #17-008. Filed Jan. 10.

Harmoni International Spice, challenging CBP's imposition of a single transaction bond requirement on all of its entries of fresh garlic from China. #17-009. Filed Jan. 11.

International Industries, challenging the International Trade Commission's final injury determination in the antidumping duty investigation on circular welded carbon-quality steel pipe from Pakistan. #17-010. Filed Jan. 13.

VS GmbH, on the classification of shell castings. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 7326.90.8588 (2.9%). VS says it should have instead been classified under subheading 7325.99.1000 (free). #17-011. Filed Jan. 13.

Composite Technology International, on the classification of wood articles (engineered painted rails and stiles). CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 4421.90.9780 (3.3%). Composite Technology says it should have instead been classified under subheading 4412.99.5100 (free) or 4412.99.9500 (free). #17-012. Filed Jan. 13.

T.B. Wood's, challenging the International Trade Commission's final negative injury determination in the antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on iron mechanical transfer drive components from Canada and China. #17-013. Filed Jan. 13.
