The following lawsuits were filed at the Court of International Trade during the week of April 18-24:
Medline Industries challenging the assessment of additional marking duties in excess of 10 percent of the final appraised value of an entry of medical supplies into the Port of Laredo. #16-00063. Filed April 18.
Shin-Etsu MicroSi on the classification of silicone-based thermal greases. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 3824.90.2800 (6.5%). Shin-Etsu says it should have instead been classified under subheading 3910.00.0000 (3%). #16-00064. Filed April 21.
StarKist Co. on the classification of prepared tuna products. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 1604.14.10 (35%). StarKist says it should have instead been classified under subheading 1604.14.22 when in quota (6%), and 1604.14.30 ex quota (12.5%). #16-00065. Filed April 21.
