Trade-Related Court Cases Filed for Week of Nov. 2-8

The following lawsuits were filed at the Court of International Trade during the week of Nov. 2-8:

American Presto Corp. on the assessment of antidumping duties on entries of cast metal axes and other cast handtools from China. CBP liquidated them as subject to antidumping duties on heavy forged handtools from China. American Presto said they should have deemed liquidated as entered. #15-00297. Filed Nov. 2.

Edsal Manufacturing challenging the Commerce Department's final determination in the antidumping duty investigation on boltless steel shelving units prepackaged for sale from China. #15-00298. Filed Nov. 3.

DSM Nutritional Products challenging CBP's denial of its protests on the classification of carotenoids. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 2106.90.97 (8.5% + 0.288¢/kg or 2106.90.99 (6.4%). DSM says it should have instead been classified under subheadings 3204.19.35 (3.1%), K3204.19.35 (free), and 2936.10.00 (free). #15-00299. -00300, and -00301. Filed Nov. 4.

DSM Nutritional Products on the classification of a stabilized vitamin B derivative. CBP classified the merchandise under subheadings 3824.90.28 (6.5%) and 3824.90.92 (5%). DSM says it should have instead been classified under subheading 2936.23.00 (free). #15-00302. Filed Nov. 4.
