Trade-Related Bills, Resolutions Introduced on Feb. 6
On Feb. 6, the following trade-related bills and resolutions were introduced:
- (HR-547) A bill to provide for the establishment of a border protection strategy for the international land borders of the U.S., to address the ecological and environmental impacts of border security infrastructure, measures, and activities along the international land borders of the United States, and for other purposes; to the Committee on Homeland Security, and in addition to the Committees on Armed Services, and Agriculture, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
- (HR-528) A bill to prohibit foreign assistance to countries with a gross domestic product of $1,500,000,000,000 or more; to the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
- (HR-548) A bill to restore growth, spur job creation, build momentum toward economic recovery for border communities and the U.S., and for other purposes; to the Committee on Homeland Security, and in addition to the Committees on Ways and Means, Transportation and Infrastructure, Small Business, Oversight and Government Reform, Foreign Affairs, and Agriculture, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
- (HR-580) A bill to enhance the energy security of U.S. allies, and for other purposes; to the Committee on Energy and Commerce. The House version of the Expedited LNG for American Allies Act.
