ITA Announces 2013 TRQ Allocations for Worsted Wool Fabrics

The International Trade Administration announced the allocation of the calendar year 2013 tariff-rate quotas for the importation of two types of worsted wool fabrics suitable for use in making suits, suit-type jackets, and trousers (HTS 9902.51.11 and 9902.51.15), and one type of worsted wool fabric suitable for use in making men's and boys' suits (HTS 9902.51.16).The ITA said all applicants were determined to be eligible for an allocation. Allocation recipients for the three worsted wool fabric TRQs for 2011 are as follows:

HTS 9902.51.11 - worsted wool fabrics with an average fiber diameter greater than 18.5 micron, certified by the importer as suitable for use in making suits, suit-type jackets, or trousers (provided for in HTS subheadings 5112.11.60 and 5112.19.95)1:

According to the ITA, the 2013 TRQ amount for fabrics classified under HTS subheading 9902.51.11 is 5,500,000 square meters.

HTS 9902.51.15 - worsted wool fabrics with an average fiber diameter of 18.5 micron or less, certified by the importer as suitable for use in making suits, suit-type jackets, or trousers (provided for in HTS subheadings 5112.11.30 and 5112.19.60)1:

According to the ITA, the 2013 TRQ amount for fabrics classified under HTS subheading 9902.51.15 is 5,000,000 square meters.

HTS 9902.51.16 - worsted wool fabrics with an average fiber diameter of 18.5 micron or less, certified by the importer as suitable for use in making men's and boys' suits (provided for in HTS subheadings 5112.11.30 and 5112.19.60)2:

According to the ITA, the 2013 TRQ amount for fabrics classified under HTS subheading 9902.51.16 is 2,000,000 square meters.
