CBP Posts AESTIR Changes to Appendix O DDTC ITAR Exemption Codes
U.S. Customs and Border Protection posted an updated summary of changes for the Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR). Most recently, the following changes to Appendix O on DDTC ITAR Exemption Codes have been posted.
Effective Nov. 29
The following ITAR exemption codes were changed to include the following “U.S. persons, as defined in the ITAR 120.14.”
- 123.17F -Temporary export of one set of "Body Armor" for personal use without a license from the United States by U.S. persons as defined in the ITAR 120.14.
- 123.17G -Temporary export of one set of "Body Armor" for personal use without a license by U.S. persons as defined in the ITAR 120.14 going to Afghanistan and to Iraq.
