CBP Revises Schedule on Remaining Broker Part 111 Rewrite Webinars
CBP updated the schedule on the remaining Webinars on the "Role of the Broker." CBP previously canceled a July 12 Webinar, the first of two planned Webinars on continuing education and said it would reschedule the Webinar if necessary.
A schedule of these Webinars follows below:
- August 9 -- Developing regulatory alternatives and evaluating economic impacts
- August 23 -- Continuing education (Part 1)
- September 6 -- Continuing education (Part 2)
- September 20 -- Broker penalties
- October 4 -- Wrap-up and summary of major topics
CBP announced May 25 that it is planning a number of Webinars during the summer of 2012 to solicit comment and input on all facets of the customs broker regulations (19 CFR Part 111). This is part of CBP’s Role of the Broker Initiative, meant to update the relationship between the customs broker and CBP.
