May TAO Update Covers ISF Reports, Revoking User Access Privileges, Etc.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection released its ACE Trade Account Owner (TAO) Update. The TAO provides an update on participation in CBP's e-Manifest: Rail and Sea, ISF Reports, and tips for obtaining a list of truck conveyances. The CSMS message is (here).
The following are topics covered in the September-October TAO Update:
- e-Manifest: Rail and Sea: As of May 31, 2012, 88 percent of ocean carriers and 47 percent of ABI software developers impacted by the transition to M1 have either completed or are in the on-boarding process.
- Importer Security Filing (ISF) Reports
- Revoking User Access Privileges: The TAO provides information on revoking access for employees who have left the company.
- Obtaining a List of Truck Conveyances: CBP said it is frequently asked by truck carriers if it is possible to obtain a list of all of the conveyances they have added to their ACE Portal account. While there is no standard report a truck carrier can run which lists all of their conveyances, truck carriers can create their own report which will identify all conveyances that have crossed in the last four CBP fiscal years and the current fiscal year.
- Various recent ACE updates. The TAO recaps various recent ACE updates, including: the availability of the West Coast Symposium video, CBP Outreach on the Role of the Broker and updates to the Trade Transformation website.
