CBP Posts ACE Review on e-Manifest: Truck
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) review on e-Manifest: Trucks. It provides information on how to store account information in the ACE, mandatory exemptions, submitting an e-Manifest, in-bond shipment information, etc.
The e-Manifest: Trucks capability enables carriers to submit electronic truck manifests to CBP prior to a truck’s arrival at a U.S. land border crossing. Carriers are required to submit an e-Manifest one hour prior to arrival into the U.S. Carriers’ loads that qualify under the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program must submit their electronic declaration at least one half hour prior to their arrival at the U.S. border. The electronic filing of manifests offers the trade community increased efficiency by reducing processing time and offering online status tracking of trips. CBP Officers are also provided with consolidated information that will help them expedite legitimate trade while keeping U.S. borders secure.
