Importer PSCs, Document Imaging, Etc. in Nov 2011 TSN Report
The Trade Support Network has issued its November 2011 Monthly Committee Report, which states it has updated and resubmitted its request1 for U.S. Customs and Border Protection to add programming that allows non-ABI filers to generate post summary (pre-liquidation) amendments and corrections using the ACE Portal for entry summary data initially filed and accepted in the ACE Portal.
According to the report, Post Summary Corrections are already available for the broker and self-filer via ABI for ACE entry summaries. (See ITT's Online Archives 11062420 for summary of the July 2011 start date for ABI importers to file PSCs and that PEAS would no longer be accepted for ACE summaries effective September 22, 2011.)
The TSN2 is also (1) reviewing two Document Imaging System (DIS) GIFs prior to submitting them to CBP for consideration, (2) requesting the automation of the "transfer of liability between two brokers," a common practice on the Northern Border, and (3) working on the development of ACE export manifest user requirements.
1This updated request is in CSPO-GIF-1099.
2The TSN is a group of trade representatives who have been providing input into CBP’s design and development of ACE since May 2001. TSN consists of members of the trade community, including trade associations, importers, brokers, carriers, sureties, and others.
