CBP's Aug 2011 TSN Committee Report Covers Official Liq Notices, Drawback, Etc.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued the August 2011 TSN Monthly Committee Report which summarizes the Trade Support Network activities of its ten committees regarding the export manifest, broker management, the official notice of liquidation, drawback in ACE, etc.

Topics reported on in the August issue include:

Export manifest. CBP's decision to move forward with the development of an automated export manifest;
Broker management. improvement in the Broker Management concept when there is more than one filer code and uploading employee information;
Official liq notice. the Liquidation Committee's proposal for a web bulletin posting as the official legal notice of liquidation in lieu of posting bulletin notices at the port of entry;
ACE drawback. the Drawback committee's interest in using the Post Summary Correction (PSC) framework to transition ACS drawback to ACE, etc.
