CBP Revises Drawback, Entry Summary CATAIR Chapters, Etc.

CBP has posted Amendment 2 to the April 2011 Customs and Trade Automated Interface Requirements document¹. The following revisions were made to the below-listed CATAIR chapters and appendices in June 2011:

Cargo/Manifest Status Query

• Record Identifier R1 (Output) -- Changed description of data element Carrier Code.

Drawback Summary

• Deleted the references to the Long Beach, California Drawback Office.

Entry Summary Query

• Record Identifier J8 (Output) -- Made edits in Collection Class Code data element description.

In-Bond

• Record Identifier NS30 (Output) -- Corrected reference to Appendix B to Appendix N in data element Disposition Code.

Appendix Q -- Government Agencies Codes

• Numerous changes made throughout chapter.

¹Due to the number of amendments to and date of the July 2004 version of the CATAIR, it was decided to update the complete CATAIR publication and republish a new version dated April 2011.
