CBP Updates ACE Entry Summary Business Rules and Processes Document for Trade

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an updated version (Version 2.2) of its Automated Commercial Environment entry summary business rules and process document for the trade. Also available is an earlier version (2.1) of this document.

According to CBP, this document is subject to updating over time, as the different entry summary types and associated downstream processing migrate from the Automated Commercial System to ACE.

Change for Census Warning Sheets

According to CBP, Version 2.2 reflects a change to indicate that CBP will not accept paper Census warning sheets for ACE entry summaries.

Prior Version Had Been Updated for ESAR A.2.3.1a and Other Changes

CBP’s previous Version 2.1 reflected the deployment (on February 14, 2010) of ACE Entry, Summary, Account, and Revenue (ESAR) Release A2.3.1a. It had new information on the functionality specific to the filing and processing of antidumping and countervailing, type 03, entry summaries and AD/CVD case information, AD/CVD message, and AD/CVD inquiries. ACE is the system of record for AD/CVD cases, messages, and inquiries. In addition, Version 2.1 reflected the addition of a section on single transaction bonds, the expansion of various existing information, etc.
